Johnny Perez, drummer for the San Antonio rockers Sir Douglas Quintet, RIP.
Perez hailed from San Antonio, Texas, and moved with his band mates to California to make the most of the new psychedelic music scene in San Francisco. More recently, he owned the
Topanga Skyline Studio, which recorded
Jackson Browne, Sting, T-Bone Burnett and many others.
