This week's programme is all about a very scarce commodity of late in Chateau Johns: sleep. Since the arrival of Master Johns, Mrs. Johns and I have been on the Guantanamo side of sleep deprived. I can see how effective it is as a mode of torture.

The theme this week is art. For no particular reason other than it throws up some interesting song choices. One of them is a sweet love song by Teenage Fanclub called "Every Picture I paint," from my favourite TF record A Catholic Education. D. Bowie gets another outing this week with "Andy Warhol" (minus the irritating studio banter), which apparently Andy Warhol didn't like. And we close with one of my least favourite bands, The Stone Roses. It's a nice song, however.

Jack Kavorkian, aka, Dr Death, the pathologist who became an assisted suicide advocate, has gone to meet his maker. There was an earthquake in Kutahya, Turkey, on Thursday in which two people lost their lives and 79 were injured. So here's a play list that loosely has something to do with the theme of earthquakes.
